What's Up?

Just before Dakoda was born (April 29, 2005), Babe was about to get out of the Navy and 9-months-pregnant Michelle took Marley, the critters and the Norfolk household up to Detroit, where she, savvy real estate dealer that she is, purchased their second home and set it up before Babe got there! 
The Norfolk home has been leased and turned out to be a great investment for us.

So then Koda showed up... and a few days later,
Daddy Babe was discharged and made his way up to the new residence.

The pictures that follow show all the obvious fun we're having...
The new house is great and has a huge backyard...
great for the kids and dogs and family cookouts... 

Babe found a job working for a local cable company that's near the house and all's well with the world.

Dakoda Kameron Smith

9 lbs 3 oz!

Mama's fine, Daddy's ecstatic,

All the Grandparents are in Hogg Heaven!

Yup, there's already a steady stream of little boy toys all the way from Florida to Michigan!

Take a look at Marley's new baby brother!

O.B. was there to help Michelle welcome Dakoda into the world
and then the rest of the family got to see him...
including his Grandpa Kelly and Grandma Sue,
his Uncle Little Kelly and Granny Edie.
Granny Edie, along with Marley's Aunt Nicola
and her boyfriend "Uncle" George stayed with her while
Dakoda was making his entrance...
you'll see them all coloring together.
And then here's a note from O.B. to Babe:

"Miss Marley was helping to make a welcome home sign for MaMa and Baby.. But I guess we didn't take into account she may be hungry...until after she ate the black marker...Babe you would have been proud.. we didn't reach for the wash cloth, we reached for the camera... you taught us well....HELEN"

Hey! It's me... Marley!
Mommy and I went to visit O.B. and Grandma Edie. 
We had sooooo much fun!
O.B. read books to me...
   
 
And my Aunt Libby and O.B. had a Tea Party with me!
   
 
Uncle Kelly came over to play
   
 
Grandma Edie let my cousin, Jessie and me jump on the bed!
 
And then I got to play dress-up.
 
Aunt Libby and O.B. and Grant played Baby Skunk with me
 
Till I made a stinky in the room...
O.B. said the smell stung her eyes
    
 
So I had to have a bath...Jessie was a big help!
 
And then O.B. dried me off.
 
It was cold outside but we were toasty indoors
 
 
I love to hear Uncle Kelly play piano and sing to his music!
 
Mmmmmm...   bananas!
 
Grandma Edie let me help with the housework.
Hey...Grandma Edie! Do you see how that silly cat is sitting?  And there's one
hiding under the covers too!  He ran up under there when we started the vacuum!
 
 
Grandma Edie is smoochin on Jessie and me!

Mommy and I went swimming one day!
 
Oh yeah, before we went up to see O.B., Daddy and I painted in the house!
 
 
Hey did you know my birthday is February 3rd?
I'll be One!
 
And then it'll be Valentine's Day!
 
(What's Valentine's Day?)

(Hey my heart keeps good beat to the music, eh?)
 
Anyway,soon after that my little brother should be arriving.
I can't wait to see him.
It's gonna be fun to have another little person to play with.
